Erik:
Whole lot of nuthin!
Slept away the rest of my cold. Woo!
All of the staff was very concerned
about my cold. They kept giving us free coffee and asking if I was
ok. Very sweet group.
Steph:
While Erik slept, I watched 127 Hours.
That movie is crazy. I don't know if
you've seen it but I'm sure you've heard the story. It's about a
normal guy who gets himself into some trouble when he goes mountain
biking/hiking/climbing by himself. His arm gets stuck when a rock
falls on it as he's climbing a canyon in the middle of the
wilderness. For 127 hours, he tries to get out until finally he is
forced to cut off his hand in order to not die of dehydration. It's
intense.
It made me think a lot of my family and
friends at home who go out into the desert to work out and enjoy
nature all the time. Please remember to tell people where you're
going and try to go with someone. SAFETY FIRST PEOPLE!!!

Dearest Steph,
ReplyDeleteHonestly honey? That is rich. You are reminding your family and friends not to take chances when they go out into the desert? Last time I checked you were braving elephants wandering past the pup tent you were sleeping in. Not to mention riding bikes on roads crowded with vehicles with no regard whatsoever for cyclists. Do we need to go into the days you rode past the point of no return with no water in sight......I could go on but I think you get the point. :-)
I'm loving reading about your adventures my dear. Louise would be beside herself with joy.
lots of love and prayers for safe passage,
Deb
Haha!
ReplyDeleteAt least we followed our own advice though! We told people where we are going, and took someone with us :)
Love you too Deb. I know gramma would dig the journey.
